Arizona Fly Swatter

Regular price $10

I created these to kill the fly bugging me on the back porch, they are the most fun way to eliminate pests. How light you ask? Weight is between 7-11 grams! Making this one of the lightest supersonic toys possible. The ball end is a hard silicone rubber ball, non toxic non latex.

How to use an Arizona Flyswatter 2.0:

Pinch the ball putting your thumb just above the ball, draw the cracker with a pinched grip and when under tension, push the thumb forward pulling the cracker from the draw hand using the thong to aim at your target like an arrow.

Now Powered by a 13" Pulltruded solid carbon fiber rod as a spring!

These Tiny little whips use the snapdragon system quick change crackers with a little hidden english eye for quick changing crackers, I recommend the 12" long tapered crackers in UHMWPE though spun kevlar crackers in size 4 work very well and have a louder crack. The original snapdragon crackers work very well with version 2.0 as well.

These have about 20" thong on about 13" handle bringing the whip to just under 3' long before you add the cracker so they have about 4' range from the end of your extended arm.

TO USE: Grab the ball in your fingers, using your other hand, with 2 fingers pinch and draw back the feather of cracker,The cracker will slip out of your fingers at the correct tension, if it hasn't fired push forward on the handle pulling the cracker from your grip using the springy carbon fiber handle. Do not choke up on the rod, don't wrap the cracker in your finger.

I've updated the Product to version 2.0, the weakest part of the original flyswatter was that the rubber band didn't ever last long enough and was harder to use. So now I've updated the design using a permanent Carbon fiber spring handle.

You can throw it like a whip, though it has almost no mass. Flick cracks require a very sharp motion to load the spring handle. loop cracks are possible with good timing and are soft pops as there's negligible mass in the thong. It's intended to be drawn against the thumb like a bow with a pinch grip on the end of the cracker. The energy transfer when loosed produces a reasonable crack and is devastating to a fly from 5-6 ft away. The main advantage with a supersonic swatter is that there is no pressure wave in front to allow the fly to escape as with a traditional flyswatter.

These have a hidden english eye inside the colorful sheath for quick attaching snapdragon crackers, or crackers of your own preference. Loop is a doubled, braided line and assembly is welded and should never come apart. Ball is replaceable if it wears out.
